Splendid Isolation, The Cheviot Hills
Easily the darkest night out I've ever had. While I waited for the Milky Way to move over the old shepherds cottage, I saw the biggest, bright red fireball I've seen, crossing the sky almost in slow motion. As it burned out, it left a red trail which dissipated like fairy dust.
